I've been making these clothespin dolls since I was twelve. That was over 30 years ago. I used to bring them to the local mall and walk around selling my creations until I was too old to escape the radar of the local mall cops and was kicked out. From there I went door-to-door. It never made sense to me to create any work of art only to hide it in my own house where only the few visitors I have are able to enjoy it. What a waste of time and effort. Art is useless unless there are people enjoying it. That’s why I created clothespincraftkits.com. It's the best way to get my work out for everybody to enjoy. So here are many of my designs (some 30 years old, some only 1 year old).
Christmas Ornament kits include everything you need to create two(2) - four(4) ornaments (except for glue and paint) including complete easy to follow instructions. Doll kits make one(1) doll. All ornaments are created around the old fashion one-piece wooden clothespins. Clothing and accessories are made from felt, chenille stems, ribbon, craft sticks and other basic craft materials. Currently, the material is not cut to the shapes needed to create the ornament. This is something we will include sometime in the future. For now, patterns are included in the instructions which are used to cut the shapes for clothing and other accessories. We purposely designed the ornaments to make this task as easy as possible, primarily using simple patterns such as rectangles and circles.
